November 19, 2k9 Cool ish you might want to know!

So, I realize I don't add to this site nearly as much as I should, but I have some awesome news. In the last month, I have gotten the final cover for ARSON. It is amazing, by the way. The best cover art I have had the privilege of wrapping my book in. I will be revealing it in due time. Also, I have the final layout, which also looks pretty sweet. I should have the hard copy final proof in my hands by tomorrow! Oh, and I just learned that ARSON is going to come with a free short story, written by me, and the book will also come with a FREE! audio version download. Get excited!

On April 15-yes, tax day-I officially signed the contract. ARSON will be published through Tate Publishing later this year. I am so deeply excited for this thing. You guys are gonna love it. Get stoked!

March 12, 2009 A BOY CALLED ARSON Update!

To those of you who don't know, I've been working on a book since the end of 2006. It's a deeply felt novel about growing into your own skin. Here's a bit about the book:

                  Arson isn't a normal boy, and he hates it. He was born with an unusual ability; he can create and manipulate fire with his mind. He has an abusive grandmother who claims to love him, and has never met his birth parents. The world is cruel, but it makes sense...until he meets a strange girl with a mask. 

Right now, Arson is with two publishers. If you believe, say a prayer for the book. If not, keep your fingers crossed. We need all the help we can get.  Stay tuned!!!!

Novemeber 18, 2008 How long has it been?

A while. Since I wrote the last entry on this page, Arson has been edited twice.  The book remains my favorite so far, probably because it hits so close to home. The book has caught a few people's attention, but nothing set in stone yet. Still keeping the fingers crossed. I've been tossing around other ideas in my head as well, and recently started working on a novel I began over 4 years ago. Who knows? Right now, school and getting Arson published are my main concerns. Well, at least the second one is. 

July 8th, 2008  A Boy Called Arson is finally COMPLETE!!!

That's right. I finally finished writing my third book, and I can't tell you how absolutely excited I am! I don't think I've ever been as excited about something I've written than I am about this book. Some of you have heard about it, others haven't. Basically, it's a story about struggle, loneliness and love. Oh, and some unnatural abilities.  I will be sending it out to Alexis Washam of Penguin Group very soon. Keep your fingers crossed. This could be the one. My God, I hope it is.
